Varn swaps the Tampa Bay Times for USA Today

Kathryn Varn

USA Today has Kathryn Varn as a statewide enterprise reporter covering politics, real estate, education, the environment and more.

She has recently been working as a criminal justice reporter at The Tampa Bay Times. Before that, she served as a city government reporter and then as a public safety reporter.

She has also interned at The New York Times, the Miami Herald Media Company, the Tampa Bay Times, and the Orlando Sentinel.

Varn has a B.S. in journalism from the University of Florida.
