“Thursday was my last day at @USATODAY . With 17+ years @Gannett , I took a buyout. It was time. I’ll miss my colleagues dearly: They’re the best people, simply top-notch journalists who believe in truth and facts. Now, onward, to a new adventure.”
Previously, Wadington served as “Politics NOW” editor and fact check editor. She held various roles at the Asheville Citizen-Times, including site leader, news director, copy editor and news editor.
She also held editorial roles at the Chicago Sun-Times, the Daily Herald in suburban Chicago and the Wisconsin State Journal.
She was a Dow Jones copy editing intern at The Herald in Sharon, Pa.
Wadington has a B.A. in journalism from Indiana University Bloomington.
