John Wood Jr. and Ingrid Jacques have joined USA Today as Opinion columnists.
Wood is a writer, podcaster and notable national speaker on politics and racial reconciliation. He is national ambassador for Braver Angels, America’s largest grassroots, bipartisan organization dedicated to political depolarization.
His work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Washington Examiner, Quillette Magazine, Areo Magazine, Reflections (A Journal of the Yale School of Divinity), Real Clear Politics, Persuasion Magazine, The American Interestand and others.
Jacques brings nearly two decades of experience to the newsroom. Recently, she was a columnist and deputy editorial page editor at The Detroit News. There, she spent the past 12 years on the editorial board. In addition, her work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, National Review, Washington Examiner, Real Clear Politics and the Weekly Standard.
