Univision has named Elián Zidán as the new co-anchor of its late night newscast “Edición Nocturna.”
He replaces León Krauze, who exited the company in mid-November.
Starting tonight, Zidán will co-anchor the 11:35 pm ET/PT newscast with Maity Interiano, who is also his sister-in-law.
Zidán was most recently an anchor on ViX’s Noticias Univision 24/7, where he hosted the 4 p.m. and the late-night edition newscasts.
He previously worked at the Univision 41 New York as an anchor for morning newscasts “Al Despertar” and “Edición Digital NY.”
He joined the NY station as an editor and digital reporter.
Prior to Univision, Zidán worked in production at ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
