Ujifusa swaps Education Week for Chalkbeat

Andrew Ujifusa

Andrew Ujifusa will be joining Chalkbeat as a story editor. Ujifusa comes from Education Week, where he recently served as an assistant editor.

Before that, he was a state policy and politics reporter focusing on federal education policy and politics. He also co-authored the Politics K-12 blog, writing breaking news and explainers, and analyzing trends in education.

He was also a staff writer and then an education writer at The Gazette, Community Newspaper Group of Post-Newsweek Media Inc. He has also reported and edited for the Madison County Journal in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

Ujifusa is a Harvard University graduate.
