Felissa Amanda Tugade has joined the Des Moines Register as a social justice reporter. Tugade was an education reporter at Wednesday Journal, which publishes three newspapers in the western suburbs of Chicago and one in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood.
Previously, she reported for Shaw Media and was an arts and culture editor at Free Spirit Media in Chicago. She also worked freelance.
Tugade graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
