Observer Media Group has hired Lauren Tronstad as a staff writer to cover Longboat Key’s local news and government. Recently, Tronstad was a news reporter at Gannett | USA Today Network.
She was a digital editor and then a staff editor at Vox Magazine. She formerly reported for the Columbia Missourian, affiliated with the Missouri School of Journalism.
Tronstad has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
