Raisa Patel will be joining The Toronto Star as a political journalist.
Her new role begins May 17.
She joins from CBC where she is a weekend online reporter for CBC’s Parliamentary bureau and associate producer for CBC Radio’s The House. She has also written for CBC Ottawa and produced for CBC’s power and politics.
She was also a content writer at Algonquin College and a content editor at GeekyNews. She was also a proposal writer and communications intern at Story Planet.
Patel is a B.A. in psychology from the University of Ottawa and holds a master’s degree in journalism from Carleton University.
