Andrew Bahl, a senior statehouse reporter at Kansas daily newspaper The Topeka Capital-Journal, has left after three years. He wrote on X/Twitter:
“My time in Kansas has been a blessing and I’m incredibly grateful for all of you who helped us do great work and made it feel like home.”
Previously, Bahl was a state government reporter at publisher Pennsylvania Legislative Services, where he covered the general assembly, governor’s office and state agencies. He interned at The Baltimore Sun and Yahoo, where he was also a reporter.
Bahl graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was managing editor of the student newspaper The Daily Cardinal.
