Time promotes Conniff to deputy editor

Kelly Conniff

Kelly Conniff, senior executive editor at Time, has been appointed deputy editor.

Time editor-in-chief Sam Jacobs said:

“In this role, Kelly will be my partner in making the day-to-day and strategic decisions for our journalism and lead editorial relationships across the business.

“Working with me, Kelly will lead the staff to ensure we deliver high impact journalism, find new readers and keep loyal ones, and prioritize to achieve results for our newsroom.”

During her more than 11 years at Time, Conniff held the posts of social media editor, special projects editor, senior editor, director of features, assistant managing editor/editor of Time.com and executive editor.

She interned at, and served in the roles of associate producer/writer and social media manager at the National Geographic Society.

She also wrote for SmartBrief.

Conniff has a B.A. from James Madison University and a M.A. from American University.
