Time Out has tapped James Manning to serve as travel editor and Grace Beard to serve as deputy travel editor. Manning and Beard will cover global travel destinations, focused on cities, food, drink, culture, places and offbeat activities.
Manning has been with Time Out for more than nine years, holding posts that included international editor, global projects editor, city life editor, deputy music and nightlife editor and music and clubs assistant. He interned at The Economist.
Manning has a B.A. from the University of Oxford.
Grace Beard joined from the National Trust, where she was a web transition editor. Before that, she was at Plum Guide in London, where she oversaw content for its SEO-focused journal and served as an editorial production manager.
She was a sub-editor/content editor, commissioning editor and assistant editor at Culture Trip.
Beard has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kent and a M.A. from Birkbeck, University of London.
