Terrance Thornton will be taking on the role of executive editor at community newspaper company Independent Newsmedia, focusing on brand awareness, digital subscription growth, including story development and presentation, and assisting with expansion efforts.
In this role, Thornton aims to implement a digital workflow model that can be sustainable for the local news organization.
He says:
“The digital-dissemination model continues to grow at INI. We have a specific process in place, saturation goals and social media influence built into the digital game plan. The brilliance of the Independent model is simply being translated into our digital times.”
Thornton has been with Independent Newsmedia for more than 13 years, previously holding the posts of managing editor and news editor.
