Thompson joins Kansas City Star as breaking news reporter

Jenna Thompson

The Kansas City Star has hired Jenna Thompson as a breaking news reporter. Previously, Thompson was a reporter at the Lincoln Journal Star.

She was an editor at literary quarterly magazine Prairie Schooner and was an assistant culture editor and culture reporter at University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s student newspaper The Daily Nebraskan.

Thompson has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Spanish from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
