Steve Thompson, senior editor for training and development at Reach plc, has left to join Cambridge News as acting editor.
Prior to joining Reach plc in December 2021, Thompson was a regional editor at Newsquest.
He also worked as a senior audience and content editor, news editor and deputy news editor at England’s daily newspaper The Bolton News. He was an editor at the Lancashire Telegraph and freelanced for the BBC.
Thompson has a BSc. from the University of Nottingham and a post graduate diploma from the University of Central Lancashire.
