Stuart Thomas, head of the Midlands at the BBC, is set to depart. His tweet reads:
“I’m joining the country’s leading rail firm, LNER, as Communications Director. I’ll be at the BBC for a few months yet, finishing the first stage of our vital digital transformation.”
Thomas joined the BBC in June 2009 as head of BBC East Midlands and then as head of BBC East Midlands and head of English regions programs.
He also worked as a news editor at Sky and held the posts of news editor and program controller at ITN.
