The Oklahoman institutes furloughs for employees

As the global pandemic hits many publications hard, The Oklahoman joins the stream of companies furloughing its staff. As per the publication, all of its full-time employees will be put on one-week unpaid furloughs for each of the next three months.

Staff members not coming to the company this week include:

  • Opinion page editor Owen Canfield
  • Food editor Dave Cathey
  • City hall reporter Bill Crum
  • Business reporter Dale Denwalt
  • Watchdog reporter Randy Ellis
  • State government reporter Carmen Forman
  • Managing editor Don Mecoy
  • Sports editor Jeff Patterson
  • Photographer Sarah Phipps
  • Copy editor Glen Seeber
  • Online editor Siali Siaosi
  • Photographer Bryan Terry
  • Staff writer Helen Ford Wallace
