The Messenger hires two senior crime reporters

Steve Helling and Elaine Aradillas have joined news startup The Messenger as senior crime reporters.

Steve Helling

Recently, Helling was a senior staff writer at People Magazine. Since April 1996, he has also been working freelance. Helling has a B.A. from the University of Central Florida.

Elaine Aradillas

Recently, Aradillas was also at People Magazine, where she worked as a staff writer.

Aradillas has worked at the magazine for more than 15 years. She has spent the majority of her career at the magazine on the crime beat. Before that, she worked on the TV team and the health and fitness team. Aradillas has a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and a M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
