News startup The Messenger has hired Aneeta Mathur-Ashton as a breaking news reporter, based in Washington, D.C.
Recently, Mathur-Ashton was a writing associate producer at MSNBC. She also contributed to Yahoo and was a student reporter at The Washington Post.
Mathur-Ashton has degrees from the University of Maryland and American University.
