The Independent taps Hirwani as culture and lifestyle reporter

Peony Hirwani

Peony Hirwani has been promoted to the post of culture and lifestyle reporter at The Independent. Previously, she held the post of opinion writer.

Hirwani has also written freelance for Business Insider and Grazia India, and was an editorial intern at Vogue Arabia. She was also a lifestyle editor at Smoke Media and a social media editor at Voice of London.

Earlier, she was a fashion PR intern at Black PR Limited. She has also worked at Trillionaire Group as an editorial intern and then as a contributing editor. She was also managing editor at DClan.

Hirwani is a B.A. in journalism, media, arts and design from the University of Westminster.
