The Independent has tapped Josh Marcus to serve as social justice reporter. Recently, he held the post of U.S. reporter, a role in which he covered national politics, immigration, civil rights and climate change.
Marcus freelanced for Vice News, Rolling Stone, Outside Magazine and The Independent. He was a research assistant at Law360 and was a reporter at Vice News. He interned at American Public Media Group.
Marcus graduated from Macalester University in Minnesota.
