The Independent hires Plummer as reporter

Kate Plummer

Kate Plummer has joined The Independent as an Indy100 writer with a focus on politics, current affairs, social justice and similar topics.

Previously, she was working freelance for The Times, The Daily Mail, The Fourth Estate, Metro, Huffington Post, and Vice. She was also a reporter at Scram News and a junior reporter at Civil Society Media Ltd.

She was also a digital writer at Hearst U.K. and has interned at The Trade and Consumer Press, The Times business desk, Inside Housing and The Telegraph foreign desk.

Plummer is a B.A. in history from the University of Oxford and a M.A. in magazine journalism from City, University of London.
