The Independent hires Arasteh as assistant editor

Amira Arasteh

The Independent has appointed Amira Arasteh as an assistant editor, IndyBest, where she will write trending content. Recently, she served as a digital content editor at The Telegraph, where she previously served as an audience content editor.

Arasteh has freelanced for the Telegraph, The Independent, Evening Standard, Living It (Euronews), Marie Claire, Stylist, Refinery29, Fabulous, Time Out, The Sun, Time Out, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, Eater London and Discovery.

She worked at Condé Nast Britain and interned at GQ Magazine.

Arasteh has a B.A. from King’s College London.
