The Independent has promoted Tom Murray to U.S. culture news editor. Recently, he served as senior U.S. culture reporter.
Prior to joining The Independent, Murray was at Insider, where he worked for more than five years. There, he held the posts of social and syndication fellow, associate social media editor, lifestyle reporter, associate lifestyle editor, associate entertainment editor and entertainment editor.
He also worked as a student writer and editor at The Tab.
