The i Paper has hired Aasma Day as Northern correspondent. Previously, she was a North of England correspondent at HuffPost U.K.
Before that, she was an investigative reporter and lifestyle editor at Lancashire Post. She also led the Johnston Press investigations team.
She has also worked at The Guardian, Aol, Yahoo Canada, Yahoo News U.K., The Yorkshire Post, Yorkshire Evening Post, Blackpool Gazette, The News, Leigh Observer and Boston Standard among others.
Day is a B.A. in journalism from the University of Central Lancashire.
