The Hill has promoted Sarakshi Rai to director of audience development. As per The Hill:
“In her new role, she will be responsible for growing the audience for The Hill and will work across the newsroom to increase overall site traffic while staying true to The Hill’s mission as a decoder of politics, policy, and related issues for the nation.”
Recently, Rai served as deputy managing editor for audience and social media.
Previously, she served as editor in chief of Masala! Magazine, ITP Media’s entertainment vertical focused on the South Asian film industry. She has also worked at ITP Media’s B2B titles as senior online editor.
She was also a digital editor for Esquire Middle East and has worked as a senior digital journalist at Khaleej Times.
She interned at The Times.
Rai has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mumbai in India. She has a master’s degree from City, University of London and another master’s degree from the University of Delaware.
