The Guardian U.S. taps Canon as extreme weather correspondent

Gabrielle Canon

The Guardian has appointed Gabrielle Canon extreme weather correspondent. Recently, she served as a climate reporter/photographer.

Before that, Canon was a California reporter at Gannett | USA Today Network and contributed to USA Today’s “In California” newsletter. Previously, she worked as a West Coast reporter at The Guardian on a contractual basis.

Canon was also fellow at Mother Jones and wrote for LA Weekly.

Canon graduated from the University of Southern California.
