Chris Moran

The Guardian has appointed Chris Moran head of innovation for its U.S. team. An excerpt from the announcement obtained by Talking Biz News reads:

“Chris will partner with product teams and stakeholders in the UK while also working with the US team to collect, synthesize, refine and prioritize product needs across Guardian US, translating them into a clear, actionable vision.  He will collaborate with the UK product team to ensure that this vision is realized, which will be critical to achieving the editorial and commercial ambitions of Guardian US.

“Chris will be working with us for the next 9 months, and we will then hire permanently for the role.  He will be based in London, with periodic trips to the US to collaborate in person with the US team.

“With Chris joining us for this important new role, we’re also happy to announce that Charlotte Andalaro will be working with Chris as part of new responsibilities for Charlotte, while continuing in her role as Director, Project and Product Management on our US advertising team.”

Moran has been with The Guardian for more than two decades. He joined the newsroom in 1999 and freelanced for the paper for 10 years. He also held the posts of SEO editorial executive, audience editor, editor for strategic projects and head of editorial innovation.

Moran graduated from the University of Cambridge.
