The Drum makes three new hires

The Drum has appointed Kendra Clark as U.S. reporter covering digital transformation including commerce, data and CTV.

She will be based in New York and will be working alongside U.S. editor Kenneth Hein.

Clark joins from Thunderfoot where she held the post of editorial manager. Prior to that, she was an editorial associate at the company. She was also a freelance content writer and editor at Connect The Ages.

She has also worked as a freelance content strategist at Unolinks and taught English at Amity Corporation. She was also a features writer and then served as an editor at Her Campus Media. Clark was also an opinions writer, Campus Ministry blog, and then a publicity and media coordinator at Santa Clara University.

She was also assistant editor, nonfiction at The Santa Clara Review. She has also served as a corporate communications intern at Aramco Services Company.

Clark holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and philosophy from Santa Clara University and a Master’s degree in creative writing from the University of Cambridge.

Deborah Caleb Raffaele will be joining The Drum from Hillsong Church where she is senior channel TV editor. Raffaele will hold the post of senior video and audio producer, based in London. She will be working on numerous projects, including editorial series, online festivals and branded films produced by The Drum Studios.

Raffaele also has her own company, “Deborah Caleb Raffaele,” dedicated to creating videos that capture clientele. She was also a set producer at Alexander Thomas Media Co. and was an editor/camerawoman at TBN.

She was also a camera operator at vivid broadcast and head of film and photography at The A21 Campaign. She has also worked as an assistant director and cinematographer at the company.

The Drum has also hired Amy Beveridge as sub-editor. Currently, Beveridge is senior sub-editor at DC Thomson title The Evening Express. Before that, she was a trainee sub-editor at the company. She has also worked as a PR and social media intern at Hot Tin Roof PR.

She was also a media officer at the University of Stirling Students’ Union. She has also served as a writer, comment editor, head of proofreading, online sub-editor and deputy editor at Brig Newspaper, the University of Stirling’s student newspaper.

She was also a contributor to the Stirling Observer and has worked as a trainee reporter at Press and Journal.

Beveridge is a B.A. in journalism studies from the University of Stirling.
