The City taps Smith as associate editor

Rachel Holliday Smith

The City New York has promoted Rachel Holliday Smith to associate editor, focusing on expanding the nonprofit newsroom’s service and explanatory journalism, among other tasks. Recently, she was a reporter.

She has also worked as an editorial advisor at NYU’s student paper, the Washington Square News and has freelanced for WNYC Radio. She has also reported for DNAinfo, New Media News LLC in Brooklyn.

Additionally, she held the posts of videographer, writer, assignment editor and producer at NY1.

Smith is a New York University graduate.
