Peter Kiefer, a contributor at Substack platform The Ankler as well as Los Angeles Magazine, has joined The Ankler as a staff writer.
Kiefer, who premiered at The Ankler in March 2022, also served as a real estate and city editor at The Hollywood Reporter and was a features writer for a newly launched men’s lifestyle magazine at MEL Industries.
He was the founder of L.A. Currents, a digital media company dedicated to the City of Angles. Previously, he reported on politics and the New York City economic development for the New York Sun.
At The New York Times, he worked as a general assignment reporter and assisted the Rome bureau chief. He also spent five years as a screenwriter for Alcon Entertainment.
Kiefer graduated from the University of California, Berkeley.
