Kieran Rooney has joined The Age as a state political reporter. Recently, he was a state politics and transport reporter at The Herald Sun, where he worked for more than six years.
Rooney has worked in Australia as a real estate editor and political reporter for the Townsville Bulletin, and as a cadet journalist and journalist at News Queensland.
Rooney graduated from Queensland University of Technology.
