The Advocate taps Nicholson to serve as crime reporter

Lara Nicholson

Lara Nicholson has joined Louisiana-based The Advocate as a crime reporter.

Recently, Nicholson was a reporter for Louisiana’s Florida Parishes at Report for America’s 2022-2023 Corps.

Previously, she held two internships at The Advocate and also interned at the Baton Rouge Business Journal.

She held the posts of news reporter, digital editor, managing editor and editor in chief of Louisiana State University’s daily paper The Daily Reveille.

Nicholson has a B.A. in journalism and political science and government from Louisiana State University.
