Texas paper sports editor Smith to depart

Zach Smith

Zach Smith, a sports editor at Hill Country News in Texas, is set to depart. His last day is June 23. His tweet reads:

“Very excited about what’s next. I’ll share more soon!”

Previously, Smith was a sports reporter at the Laredo Morning Times in Texas, where he covered high school sports. He interned at the Jackson Citizen Patriot, where he covered breaking news and other events.

Smith graduated from Michigan State University, where he reported for the student newspaper, The State News.
