Texas paper hires Addison as reporter

Brandi Addison

Brandi Addison will join the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, a newspaper in Texas, as its agriculture and natural resources reporter. There, she will be covering food, water, environmental sustainability, weather and more.

Addison has freelanced as an environmental reporter, contributing environmental, outdoors and travel news to The Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Magazine, Green Source DFW and Texas Climate News.

She also writes independent environmental and arts and culture stories on Substack. Her bylines have also appeared in the Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express-News and Midland Reporter-Telegram.

Addison has a B.A. from Texas Tech University and a M.S. from New York University.
