Miryam Villarreal has been promoted to anchor for the Telemundo Sacramento and Fresno stations.
She’ll co-anchor Telemundo California’s 5, 5:30 and 6 pm newscasts alongside Guillermo Martínez.
She starts the new role on Monday, January 30.
Villarreal replaces Grecia Carrillo who moved to sister station Telemundo 52 in Los Angeles last August.
In addition to new anchoring duties, she’ll host Noticiero Telemundo California Al Momento on OTT platforms Roku and Fire TV, and also produce stories.
Villarreal joined Noticiero Telemundo California as a multimedia journalist in 2022. She previously worked as a reporter and anchor for Noticias WINK at the Univision affiliate in Fort Myers, Fla.
