Telegram & Gazette top editor to oversee sister publications

David Nordman, Telegram & Gazette’s executive editor, has been promoted to oversee the newspaper’s sister publications, including the MetroWest Daily News, Milford Daily News and The Gardner News, reports WBJ.

“Under his leadership, the T&G has continually grown its audience and paid subscribers,” Lisa Strattan, the vice president of news for New England for Gannett, the papers’ parent company wrote in the company memo.

Each of the four papers are owned by Gannett, the nation’s largest newspaper publisher, since Gannett was acquired last fall by GateHouse.

With the new structure, Anne Brennan, editor-in-chief of MetroWest Daily News, Milford Daily News and 14 area weeklies, will be taking on the role of executive editor of the Cape Cod Times, another Gannett paper, effective Monday.
