Tegna won 88 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for excellence in broadcast journalism, more awards than any other local broadcast television group.
Twenty-nine Tegna stations received Regional Murrows this year, including eight for overall excellence. Five other Tegna stations won for excellence in innovation. Also, Tegna received 10 additional awards inspired by Tegna’s dedicated innovation process.
Eleven more awards were also given for multimedia or excellence in social media.
