Aiyana Ishmael, an editorial assistant at Teen Vogue, had been appointed associate editor. Previously, she was a student representative at Online News Association.
Ishmael interned at The Wall Street Journal and Poynter Institute, and freelanced for Grazia USA. She worked as an audio producer at Tampa Bay Times and as an on-air host at NBC News.
Ishmael graduated from Florida A&M University.
