Carter interned with and then worked as a freelance associate producer for NowThis culture team to create video content for its Future, Food, Her and Main pages. She then worked as a staff writer.
She also worked as a SEO strategist and copywriter at LocalEdge, a Hearst Media Services Company.
Carter has a B.S. from the State University of New York College at Brockport and a M.A. from Syracuse University.
