Sunday Times Ireland editor Hegarty departs

Nóirín Hegarty

Nóirín Hegarty, Ireland editor at News UK’s The Sunday Times, has left to pursue another opportunity overseas. She joined in November 2021.

Previously, Hegarty worked at the Lonely Planet for more than seven years. There, she held the posts of managing destination editor, operations director and VP of digital content. She also worked as a media consultant and commentator for more than 13 years, with appearances on CNN and Fox.

She was also the editor of The Sunday Tribune Newspaper in Ireland.

Hegarty graduated from the Dublin Institute of Technology.
