Strategist acting senior editor Mokoena goes freelance

Tshepo Mokoena

Tshepo Mokoena, acting senior editor at New York Magazine’s The Strategist, has left to go freelance.

Mokoena writes about lifestyle, pop culture, relationships, fashion and also does culture profiles.

Previously, she worked at Vice Media for more than five years, holding various roles. They included weekend editor, editor for Noisey UK, editorial director for Vice.com and editorial director for EMEA.

She was also a digital journalist at Guardian News & Media.

Mokoena has a B.A. from the University of Sussex and a M.S. from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
