The Los Angeles Times has promoted Chris Stone to deputy managing editor, New Initiatives and VP of LA Times Studios. Recently, he held the post of executive sports editor.
Prior to joining the Times, Stone was at Sports Illustrated for over 10 years. There, he was worked as an assistant managing editor, managing editor and editor-in-chief.
Stone has a B.A. from Tufts University and a master’s degree from Columbia University, New York.
