Steamboat Pilot & Today reporter Anderson sails off to start Yampa Valley Bugle

Dylan Anderson

Dylan Anderson, a news reporter at the Steamboat Pilot & Today, has left.

Anderson has launched The Yampa Valley Bugle, a nonprofit online news source covering the communities of Routt County, Colo. including Steamboat Springs, Hayden and South Routt.

He writes: “I love the Pilot and the people there who make it work. I also disagree with some of the [business] decisions that have been made. I have decided I can do better.”

Previously, he was a student reporter on assignment at The Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Anderson graduated from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
