State Newspaper reporter Bohatch set to depart

Emily Bohatch

Emily Bohatch, government reporter at The State Newspaper in Columbia, South Carolina, will be leaving. She joined the paper in 2018 as a breaking news reporter.

Before that, she was a breaking news reporter at TCPalm, part of the USA Today Network. She was also an intern at USA Today, where she helped manage the USATODAYmoney and USATODAYtech Twitter accounts and Money-Tech Facebook page.

She has also served as a Scripps notes editor at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and was an assistant design editor, reporter at Southeast Ohio Magazine in Athens, Ohio.

She was also an intern at The Columbus Dispatch.

Bohatch graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
