Nikki Wentling, a national reporter covering issues around the U.S. that impact veterans, service members and their families will leave , noting on a Twitter post, “It’s been a great run.” Wentling joined the newsroom in 2016 as a veterans reporter.
Before that, Wentling covered local government, city departments and major business developments as a City Hall reporter for the Lawrence Journal-World. She has also reported on breaking news and the military for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock, Ark.
Wentling has also interned at the Lawrence Journal-World.
Wentling is a graduate of the University of Kansas.
