Suki Dardarian

The Star Tribune in Minnesota has appointed Suki Dardarian to editor and senior VP. She replaces Rene Sanchez, who is leaving to join NOLA.com, The Advocate, and the Times-Picayune in New Orleans as editor.

Recently, Dardarian was serving as senior managing editor and VP of the paper.

Before that, she spent over 14 years at The Seattle Times, where she served as assistant managing editor, deputy managing editor, managing editor/news coverage and enterprise, managing editor/curation and digital, and director/audience development and innovation.

She has also edited for The News Tribune in Tacoma, Washington. She has also reported for Everett (WA) Herald.

Dardarian was formerly president and board member of the Associated Press Managing Editors (Association and Foundation) and graduated from the University of Washington.
