Spectrum News names Jones Washington reporter

Reuben Jones

Reuben Jones will be moving to D.C. after four years in Charlotte to become a Washington reporter for Spectrum News. He will be focusing on Spectrum stations in NC, but will also be reporting for Spectrum stations around the country.

The Emmy-winning reporter was based in Charlotte working as a reporter/MMJ/fill-in-anchor at Spectrum. He was also a weekend anchor/multimedia journalist at WREX-TV, the NBC affiliate in Rockford, IL.

Previously, he has interned at CBS News, Charlottesville Tomorrow and NY1 News.

Jones holds a bachelor’s degree in government and international politics from George Mason University where he was the executive editor of the student-run news website. He also holds a master’s degree in multimedia journalism from New York University.
