Spectrum News 1 names Cohen political anchor

Alex Cohen

Spectrum News 1 Southern California has appointed Alex Cohen political anchor. Recently, she served as anchor and host of the issues-driven political program “Inside the Issues.”

Previously, Cohen was at Southern California Public Radio, where she hosted the daily news magazine program “Take Two.” In conjunction with NPR, Cohen served as the local host for “Morning Edition” and “All Things Considered.”

She was the L.A. bureau chief at KQED-FM 88.5 in San Francisco.

Cohen has a B.A. from Brown University and a master’s degree from the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
