Javier Rojas, a reporter at the Southern California News Group, has left. His tweet reads:
“It’s the end of an exciting chapter in my career that I’m forever grateful for. I’ve been a reporter since I was 18 and got to live my dream covering Southern California.
“As for my next move, I have exciting news to share very shortly! I won’t be going too far but it will be a welcome change of pace for me and my family.”
During his time at the SCNG, Rojas covered local government, health, education and breaking news.
Previously, wrote for mitú, a digital media company representing Latino perspectives.
Rojas graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt (formerly Humboldt State University) in California.
