Smith becomes deputy political editor at the Mirror

Michael Smith

Michael Smith, a Whitehall correspondent at Reach plc’s Daily Mirror, has taken on the role of deputy political editor.

Smith wrote on X/Twitter:

“Wonderful to be part of two excellent and lovely teams – both the Sunday Mirror/People team and our fantastic Westminster team – and working on really exciting stories.”

Smith joined the Daily Mirror in October 2013. Previously, he also worked at Sky News and the BBC.

Smith has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Sheffield.
